Law, Language and Interpretation - Rome
Law, Language and Interpretation

Throughout history, cultures have left an imprint through the dominant languages of their time, the effects of which even today remain. With the onset of rapid technological advances and artificial intelligence, the tension point of law, language and interpretation gains greater significance in the peaceful settlement of disputes. My current research explores plurilingual interpretation in Article 33.3 of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, questioning whether the article and its assumptions should be reconsidered.

Globalization and Water

Questions of water rights and the distribution of resources play an increasingly greater role in geopolitical relationships and dialogues for peace. Having the honor to serve and collaborate with various organizations in Rio de Janeiro, I consider these dynamics in relationship to favela populations and their attainment of this essential element of life.

Civil Society and Human Rights Synergies
Civil Society and Human Rights Synergies

Solutions to the multifaceted challenges of globalized society require advances in development, education, health, etc., all of which mutually influence one another. As such, fostering synergies among diverse entities becomes an intriguing catalyst for renewal. Facilitating an international Forum of more than 100 NGOs and organizations, I witnessed this potential firsthand. I continue to study how various civil society actors, particularly from diverse belief systems, may create synergies in favor of human dignity.
